What is kept, and for how long.

Last changed 17 October 2026.

Signatures

A signature you build is turned into HTML and text on the server and sent back to you; it is not stored unless you press "Save to my Book". Team sheets are never stored. A saved signature is kept in a Book opened by a private link. We store only a hashed form of that link's key: we can match the link when you open it, but we cannot rebuild the link from what is stored, and the key is too long to guess.

No account, no tracking cookies

No account, no email address, no analytics services, no tracking cookies and no outside fonts. Two kinds of outside request can happen: the one banner ad on the checks, install and pricing pages, described under Advertising (it sets no cookies and counts one page view per page as a daily total), and a logo address you typed yourself, which your browser fetches from that address to show the preview. Two cookies are used: one holds the open Book's key in this browser, one protects forms from forgery.

Addresses and logs

Daily limits keep a hashed form of your internet address, mixed with a secret value kept on the server, for at most 5 days; we never store the address itself. The hosting server keeps its own access logs for a short time for security; form contents are sent by POST and are not in those logs.

Backups

Database backups on the server are kept for 14 days. Deleting a signature or a Book removes it at once; copies in those backups are gone within 14 days. When the site's software is updated, an extra copy of the database is also kept off the server; each one is deleted at the first update after it is 14 days old.

Advertising

Since 17 October 2026 the checks, install and pricing pages show one banner ad from AdEngine (adengine.us), the small ad network run by WeldonPC, the company behind this site. For now the ads are for WeldonPC’s own services. The home page, the builder, the team sheet, your Book, this page and the terms never show an ad or load anything from adengine.us, so what you type into a signature never meets it.

To show an ad, your browser loads a script from adengine.us, asks it for one banner, loads the banner image, and reports once that the page was viewed and once that the banner was shown. Like any website, adengine.us receives your internet address, your browser type and the address of this site with those requests: the site’s address only, never the page’s.

  • No cookies, no profile. AdEngine sets no cookies, gives you no ID and does not track you from site to site.
  • How your internet address is used. adengine.us looks up the approximate city for your address in a location database kept on its own server (nothing is sent to anyone else), so that ads meant for one area are shown only there. It also uses the address to count each ad view or click only once and to leave out robots and WeldonPC’s own office traffic. The address is not stored with the counts; the temporary entries made from it expire within six hours and are cleared from the server within two days.
  • What is kept. Daily totals only: page views for this site, and views and clicks for each ad. The adengine.us web server also keeps a standard access log (internet address, time, address requested, referring site, browser) for security; it is deleted on a rolling schedule.
  • Clicking an ad passes through adengine.us, which counts the click, and then opens the advertiser’s site, which has its own privacy policy.
  • Nothing about you is sold or shared.

Payments

Once checkout opens, payments go through PayPal. We would keep only PayPal's subscription reference and its status, never card details.
